At the same time, we expose the crimes of the Russian occupation and amplify the voices that resist censorship and repression.

June 27, 2026 – A delegation from the Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria attended the Congress of People’s Deputies in Warsaw as guests of honor. During the event, the head of the delegation, First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria and Minister of State Abdul-Vab Ortakhanov, addressed the congress participants, presented the current position of the Government of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria on issues related to further cooperation with the Congress of People’s Deputies, and made a number of proposals to strengthen and develop cooperation.
June 20, 2026 – A demonstration was held in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, attended by representatives of the Vainakh community and human rights activists to discuss the rights of refugees and migrants. The protest was organized by Belgian human rights activist Fatima Gazieva and Roza Dunaeva, Commissioner for Human Rights and Representative of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in Austria. During the demonstration, calls were made to prevent the stigmatization of people from Chechnya and Ingushetia, to uphold the principle of the presumption of innocence, and to ensure fair trials in every case.
June 12, 2026 – A picket was held in front of the Embassy of Kazahstan, organized by the representative of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in Austria, along with activists from human rights organizations. May 25, 2026 – An ABN (Anti-Imperial Bloc of Nations) conference was held in Toronto. The conference, titled “Responding to Rupture: Russia, Global Power Shifts, and Democratic Strategy,” featured a keynote address by Akhmed Zakayev, Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in Exile. March 30, 2026 – Roza Dunajeva, representative of the Chechen government-in-exile of Ichkeria for human rights, delivers a speech to the OSCE. In it, she denounces the European authorities’ increasingly widespread use of deportations to Chechnya, highlighting the risk that returnees will suffer violence and torture at the hands of the occupation authorities.

March 25, 2026 – In Krems, Austria, a demonstration of solidarity, remembrance, and demands for justice was held in front of STEIN Prison. Participants gathered to draw attention to the need to respect human rights in places of detention. Participants expressed particular concern over reports of systemic discrimination and human rights violations against people of Chechen origin, especially young people and men.
The representative of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in Austria, as well as parents of prisoners and prison victims, spoke at the event.
March 12, 2026 – A Chechen court declared the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria a “Terrorist Organization,” banning its activities in Russia.

March, 2026 – News has emerged that the FSB orchestrated the murder of Akhmed Zakayev, through a special intelligence cell assigned to operate undercover abroad.
March 3, 2026 – Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, Abdulhakim Ajiev, met with President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
February 26, 2026 – A conference entitled “From Chechnya to Ukraine: The Lessons We Still Don’t Learn” is being held in Turin, Italy. Akhme Zakayev will be speaking at the event.

February 12, 2026 – the representation of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria in Austria, together with human rights organizations, paid an official visit to Ezhevo Prison, on the outskirts of the Croatian capital, Zagreb. During the visit, they met with Magomed-Amin Gatagazhev and another prisoner. The two spoke about their situation, the conditions of detention, and the difficulties they faced.
The delegation included Roza Dunaeva and Fatima Gazieva, representing the organization Women for World Peace, as well as Chechen activists.
