Aleksey (surname unrecorded)
Memorial case SAM-1995-V100 · Samashki, Chechnya · April 1995
Original Cyrillic name: Алексей · Born: 1948 · Recorded death: 8 April 1995 · Place: House on Proletarskaya Street, Samashki · Memorial Appendix 3 no.: 100
Documented circumstances
The 1995 Memorial investigation lists a Russian resident known as Aleksey among three men who were shot in a house on Proletarskaya Street. A fourth man who survived the shooting by pretending to be dead described the attack to investigators. Memorial published the victim’s given name and year of birth, but not his surname.
What the evidence does not establish
The witness asked Memorial not to publish his own personal identifiers. This page does not disclose them, reconstruct missing names, or assume that Aleksey and the other victims were combatants.
This is a source-based memorial record, not a judicial verdict. References to Russian military involvement summarise Memorial’s documented witness evidence. The transliteration is editorial and all explicit uncertainties are retained.
Related documented victims — Proletarskaya Street shooting: Gennadiy · Nikolay. The three men were reported killed in the same house; their surnames are not established in Memorial’s published appendix, and the surviving witness’s identity remains undisclosed.
