Memorial case SAM-1995-V071 · Samashki, Chechnya · April 1995
Original Cyrillic name: Сугаипов Али Аббасович (Хархароев) · Born: 1941 · Recorded death: 7 April 1995 · Place: Vygonnaya Street, Samashki · Memorial Appendix 3 no.: 71
Documented circumstances
Memorial recorded Ali Sugaipov’s death in his own courtyard. On the morning of 8 April, burned bodies were found there, including those of Emin Nadyrov, Akhmed Kharkharoev and Khamzat Kharkharoev. The appendix records Sugaipov’s alternative family name and uses testimony from his wife and other villagers.
What the evidence does not establish
The documented burning of the bodies must not be taken as proof that every one of these people was burned alive. The report does not establish a precise mechanism of death for each person.
This is a source-based memorial record, not a judicial verdict. References to Russian military involvement summarise Memorial’s documented witness evidence. The transliteration is editorial and all explicit uncertainties are retained.
Related documented victims — Sugaipov courtyard: Emin Nadyrov · Akhmed Kharkharoev · Khamzat Kharkharoev. The bodies were found together; precise causes of death and any relationships between the individuals are not assumed.
