Memorial case SAM-1995-V099 · Samashki, Chechnya · April 1995
Original Cyrillic name: Явмирзаева Залуба Ахметовна · Born: 1955 · Recorded death: Approximately 15–20 April 1995 · Place: Injured in a cellar in Samashki; died in Petropavlovka · Memorial Appendix 3 no.: 99
Documented circumstances
On 8 April 1995, Zaluba Yavmirzaeva was wounded by fragments from a grenade thrown into a cellar where she had taken shelter. Memorial recorded that she later died of her injuries at relatives’ home in Petropavlovka, about a week or more after the operation.
What the evidence does not establish
The source gives her death as approximately 15–20 April, not a single verified date. The location of injury and the later place of death are separate.
This is a source-based memorial record, not a judicial verdict. References to Russian military involvement summarise Memorial’s documented witness evidence. The transliteration is editorial and all explicit uncertainties are retained.
