Documented circumstances
Nasruldin Bazuev, also recorded under the family name Malikov, was born in 1948. Memorial’s independent investigation documents a two-day sequence ending with his death on 8 April 1995.
On the evening of 7 April, soldiers reportedly forced Nasruldin and other men sheltering in a building on Sharipova Street into a vehicle-repair pit and opened fire. He survived with gunshot wounds. Relatives moved him to another house where he could shelter.
On 8 April, according to Memorial’s testimony from a surviving family member, armed servicemen searched that house. Nasruldin and his daughter Raisa were injured by a grenade and then killed by gunfire. The report records that the bodies were burned. The case is discussed in the narrative section as well as Appendix 3, entry 20.
These acts are presented as Memorial’s documented findings based on witnesses, not as a final criminal judgment against an identified individual.
Related documented victims: Raisa Masaeva — Nasruldin’s daughter, killed in the same attack.
Sources and verification
Primary record: Memorial Human Rights Center, “By All Available Means… Operation of the Russian Interior Ministry in Samashki, 7–8 April 1995” (Russian, 1995), Appendix 3, entry 20. The narrative passages in the report are used only when they refer to this person or incident.
Further context: ICRC casebook — Operation Samashki (based on the Memorial investigation). The ICRC educational casebook is not an independent criminal verdict.
Editorial note: This page records a death and circumstances documented in Memorial’s investigative report. It does not independently establish the personal guilt of a named soldier. English Romanization is editorial; the original Cyrillic name governs. The birth year alone does not establish a precise age unless the source explicitly provides one. No verified portrait of this person has yet been added.
