Idebay Tovsultanov — Samashki, April 1995

Idebay Tovsultanov

Memorial case SAM-1995-V079 · Samashki, Chechnya · April 1995

Original Cyrillic name: Товсултанов Идебай · Born: 1930 · Recorded death: 7 April 1995 · Place: Vokzalnaya Street, Samashki · Memorial Appendix 3 no.: 79

Documented circumstances

Memorial entered Idebay Tovsultanov as a victim whose body burned together with his house. His residence was recorded on Vokzalnaya Street and the investigators cited testimony from his brother and nephew, alongside local burial and hospital lists.

What the evidence does not establish

The record does not unambiguously establish whether he had died before the house caught fire. He is not automatically assumed to be related to Ali Tovsultanov merely because they shared a surname.

This is a source-based memorial record, not a judicial verdict. References to Russian military involvement summarise Memorial’s documented witness evidence. The transliteration is editorial and all explicit uncertainties are retained.
