Documented circumstances
On the morning of 8 April 1995, Ali Bunkhoev was reportedly ordered out of his home by Russian servicemen in Samashki.
Memorial recorded that he was wounded by gunfire when he tried to run, then shot again and his body was put into a neighbouring burning house. The investigator’s appendix identifies statements from his sister and other villagers, in addition to the burial list and a death-certificate reference. The available materials document allegations against the troops, without identifying a particular shooter.
