According to Memorial, Abdul-Khadzhi Murtazaliev was sitting on a bench outside his home when he was shot at about 18:00 on 7 April. The fire reportedly came from an armoured personnel carrier in a column approaching along Vostochnaya Street from the north. Witnesses cited include his son and neighbours.
